Puppies...

I have a new puppy, and yes the puppy bug has bitten me. I've named her Sophia, but I call her Sophie. If you ask me, I think she's the grandest thing in the world.

Puppy Yawn!!!

Yes?

I'm not talking to you!

Cruising and Shooting... Summer Time Fun

I love summer, it's my favorite season... you can go out and actually enjoy everything around you. So I have spent several days out and about with the sibs, driving and sight seeing... and in doing this, we have found a bountiful of images just waiting to be taken. This is what my father calls photo-opportunity, it's why he insist on us caring our cameras with us at all times... You never know when the occasion will arise.

I took the above picture in Georgia... we were on vacation, on our way to Jekyll Island. We had stopped of at the welcome center and off to the side was a small deck with some benches on it... this was the view we had from the bench.... I absolutely gorgeous.

The above image was taken while on Jekyll Island.... this beach was beyond beautiful... I fell sooooo in love with this place. If I had a choice, I would be a beach bum... I love the water, boats and pretty days...  I guess you may have figured that out by now.

But the water, beaches, and sunny days are not the only thing I love. As you have seen in the past, I also like to shoot old, dilapidate buildings....

This was a bank, or so we think... on the back side it appears to have one of the heavy metal doors used on safes... This build was awesome.... if you look close, you will see that the roof was an actual rock.... Neat!!!

And More From the Aunts store....

As you all may know, I love HDR. It's one of my favorite types of photography. The color saturation, and the depths of shadows and highlights is just amazing.

What better way to start than with what we ended with last time... Here is another section of the porch... the porch actually wraps around the store... It's an antique store, with a lot of home made gifts and items.

As you enter the store, to your right you can find old tables, cabinets, and hand thrown pottery... love the glazes.

And moving on through the store, she has more odds and ends handsomely displayed. Some of the jars on the shelf are old candy and chip containers used by old country store to sell there contents individually. But my favorite are the copper tea pots hanging from the ceiling... I love the HDR effect on them.

Hanging with Auntie Grandma..

So I've been spending my Saturdays down at my Aunts store... while visiting, I decided to take my camera out and start snapping photo's... and here's the end result.

This here, is the front porch of her store.... talk about some great character.

And here is an interior shot... I love the blue look... I think I'm hooked on it.
